Strengthening reputation and industry leadership

The challenge

Old Structures Engineering (OSE) are committed to being the leading source of expertise and consulting services in structural engineering for historical and existing buildings across NYC and beyond.

They asked us to help elevate and strengthen their reputation, while increasing engagement with current and new partners, including major architectural practises, public and private building developers and the wider sector.

The solution

Through in-depth discovery, insight gathering workshops and one-to-one interviews – analysing their business, competitors, current and prospective clients – we developed insight into their audience needs, priorities and expectations.

We used this to define and deliver:

  • A sophisticated, but straight-talking brand narrative: to differentiate, inspire engagement and resonate across audiences – from the practical-minded engineers to the commercially-minded architects and developers.
  • An overarching proposition: structural consulting for diverse architecture – we tell a story that highlights their niche technical expertise, commitment and values.
  • A bold and pure visual identity refresh, including logomark, typography, imagery, colour palette, and graphic elements.
  • Personal branding of team members
  • External communications strategy mapping audience touch points across channels
  • Creative content: website redesign, digital and premium printed marketing collateral, advertising, and a physical map to highlight their award winning projects in New York.

The result

By connecting with and quickly gaining a deep understanding of OSE, their sector, and their challenges, we have delivered a complete and impactful brand development that OSE feels represents their purpose, their business ambition, and their people.

It is already receiving positive responses, and we continue to work with OSE on their communications and marketing strategy to further expand and engage their audiences.
